Regardless of all changes od media, task, or "stylistic" shifts, the creative output of Željko Kipke has always happened in the character of a methodical, often obsessive study on individual rituals, strategies and procedures. So the exhibition entitled Magnetic Sounds is no exception in demonstrative series based on many years od studying processes od change, which have marked over and over again almost all of Kipke's total film, painting and (to some extend) writing opus.
Kipke's most recent film, Magnetic Sounds, is a film homage to Magnetic Fields, or the techniques of chance. It concerns a sort of time-related, ready-made compilation of excerpts from Italian pulp comic books from the second half of the last century, edited by chance control, were the order of the black-and-white film frames, that is the comic pictures, is determined by drawing lots which assign numbers to certain topic.
